18,411 policemen to be recruited: Mahamood Ali

Hyderabad: Home Minister Mahamood Ali today said the State government will soon recruit 18,411 police personnel in the State. So far, 10,501 constables, 539 Sub-Inspector posts were filled, he said.

The Home Minister also appreciated the Police department for smooth conduct of the elections from rural level to MPs in the State. Mahamood Ali inaugurated a Command Control unit at Warangal built by spending Rs 3.50 crore in the presence of officials. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao offered to strengthen the police wing. Adequate funds are being offered to strengthen the police wing with latest technologies and to ensure law and order.

The State government is to provide complete security and safety to women and girls, he said. The police wing is now well equipped with latest gadgets and the new center will be connected with the CCC in Hyderabad to provide State level security. Besides common services, the police are now getting ready to help the people in difficult times of natural calamities, he said. Hyderabad has got six lakh CC cameras and districts have got 50,000 CC cameras for surveillance,  he added.
