New Delhi: Three Indian Air Force officials (IAF) who partook in the Balakot Operations in the last year were given gallantry medals on the event of 88th Air Force Day on Thursday
The officials who were given the Yudh Seva Medal are Squadron Leader Minty Agarwal, Group Captain Hemant Kumar Vadsra and Group Captain Hansel Sequera.
Yudh Seva Medal perceives recognized service of a high order during war, strife or threats.
Unit Leader Minty Agarwal is a Fighter Controller with the Indian Air Force. She was a member of the group that guided, Abhinandan Varthaman, the Wing Commander, during the 2019 Balakot Operations completed by the IAF.

To retaliate for the Pulwama terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir, India completed an aerial strike at a terror training camps in Balakot in Pakistan on February 26 in the previous year.
A total of 40 officers were killed in the terror assault confirmed by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed on February 14.
Indian Air Force Day is celebrated on October 8 each year to mark the establishment day of the Air Force.
