365 players take part in National Blind Judo National Championship

Hyderabad: The 8th National Blind Judo National Championship continued on second day at Lal Bahadur Sports Stadium, Indoor Badminton hall. Over 365 players from 17 States and Technical officials taking part.

The championships are being played by in sub-junior & junior(boys and girls) and Seniors (men and women) in blind category. There are going to be 38 gold, 38 silver, 76 bronze in the championships. On the second day, the chief guest Srinivas Goud, Sports Minister was present. Among the dignitaries were Raj Kumar of Dhrumatru constructions; Munawar Anzar , founder-secretary of Indian Blind and Para Judo Association; Shyam Sunder Agarwal (advocate) president of Telangana blind and para judo association; M.A Abdul Aziz, organising Secretary of the association; welcomed the chief guest.

The minister shared encouraging words with the Judokas and urged them to continue their fervour towards sports and country. He was immensely impressed by the performances and to carry forward this enthusiasm, he has assured the Telangana blind and para Judo Association that he will be providing 2% quota to blind athletes in States jobs.
