50 percent of the accidental deaths due to helmetless riding in Hyd

Hyderabad:  The Hyderabad city registered 50 per cent of the accidental deaths due to helmetless riding. The traffic police aim to make the State Capital accident free.

For this purpose, the dept has roped the support of the GHMC and Roads and buildings to contain the accidents in the City. They initiated the mechanism to bring the accidents figures low. In a mean process, they unitedly pointed out the 60 black spots where a large number of accidents has occurred in recent times.

In the past 6 months of this year, 106 persons have died due to the road accidents in which 53 were two-wheelers. Police study revealed that these people were helmet-less that led to accidents.

Police noted that the rate of the accidents may come if the two-wheelers wear the helmets however most of them neglected the awareness in this regard. Traffic police have penalized 24 lakh people for violating the traffic rules.
