A country-wide protest against BJP policies to be held on August 15 by the CPI

At its meeting on Sunday in New Delhi, the National Council of CPI decided to hold the 24th Congress convention at Vijayawada between 14 and 18 October.  As part of its campaign to highlight the antipeople policies of the BJP, the party decided to observe the 15th of August as BJP’s failure day.

Because of the BJP’s 8-year rule, the people have not seen any relief.  The right-wing party and its ally RSS had no role to play in the liberation of India. Attempts are being made by the party to minimize the role played by Indian freedom fighters in the freedom struggle.

The chairperson of the National Council of CPI, Syed Aziz Pasha was a former member of the Rajya Sabha.  BJP-RSS alliance has been working on the Hindu Rashtra agenda since 2014, according to CPI National General Secretary D Raja.

Due to this alliance, minority groups are being treated unfairly and parliamentary democracy is being attacked.  A travesty of the rights granted by the constitution to SC ST and women is taking place. Society is experiencing an increase in inequality.

According to D Raja, a large number of people lost their jobs during the COVID pandemic, and the country suffered a large number of deaths suppressed by the Modi government as India was top in the world for COVID deaths. Ninety-six percent of families lost income, and more than a crore people lost jobs. The government is suppressing dissent and labeling those opposed to the government as anarchists and urban Naxals. In addition, he said imposing CAA and NRC trample on citizens’ constitutional rights.

Many Muslims’ properties were bulldozed across the country, according to Raja. According to the World Health Organization, India ranks 101 out of 116 nations when it comes to malnutrition.
