Aimim Chief Lashes Out Kolkata Police for Denying Permission

AIMIM chief lashes out TMC and Kolkata police. AIMIM gets their permission canceled for the rally. AIMIM bashes out the TMC MPs for monopolizing the rally permission.

Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of the political party AIMIM on lashed out at the Kolkata Police for denying and disallowing the permission for his party rally in the poll-bound city Kolkata and mused the ruling Trinamool Congress MPs for speaking about democracy in Parliament.

The Hyderabad’s Member of Parliament, whose party had decided to fight for the polls in West Bengal, asserted that the permission was denied for the rally scheduled for the next day without assigning any reason.

Specifically directing his taunts to TMC, he said that the party allowed Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister to hold a public rally, and allowed members of BJP to hold public rallies, Congress Party, and the members of Left hold rallies, however not MIM!

Talking to the media, he said that the TMC MPs in the Parliament use big terms such as democracy and freedom of speech, but do not respect the very sense of it and do not reflect it at the ground level in West Bengal.

Adding to his speech, he asserted that once the Code of Conduct for the polls to be declared likely in April- May comes into force, AIMIM would have no option but to approach the Election Commission, against the continuation of the police officer who kept rejecting their permission in the same post.

He said that If the officer is there, the elections will not be free and fair, a day after his party announced their cancellation of the rally citing denial of police permission for it.
He has directed to kick off his party’s campaign ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections with the rally in the minority-dominated Metiabruz area of Kolkata.

One possible alliance with Furfura Sharif cleric Abbas Siddiqui, who had recently topped the Indian Secular Front (ISF), the MIM chief told they were in talks with the former.

His party had handed over a list of constituencies that it intends to contest.
