AITUC, CPI Warns of Stir at National Level on RTC Strike Issue

Hyderabad: AITUC General Secretary Amarjeet Kaur and CPI national Secretary Dr. K Narayana have said that if the State Government failed to come down on the RTC strike issue, they would launch an agitation at National level.

Supporters of the AITUC, CPI, and other trade unions today organized a demonstration at Telangana Bhavan. Apart from Kaul and Narayana, CPI Delhi secretary Dinesh Varshini and others participated in it and raised slogans in support of the RTC employees strike.   They took out a rally from Kasturba Gandhi road to Telangana Bhavan and later organized a sit-out at the T Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, Amarjeet and Narayana blasted the Chief Minister KCR for his adamant attitude towards the employees.  They said that as directed by the High Court, KCR should start discussions with the Employees JAC leaders.  They questioned the rationale behind the dismissal of 48,000 employees and the Government keeping silent even after two employees committed suicide.
