Amid a high voltage political drama, Kavitha Left for New Delhi

Amid a high voltage political drama in Telangana state ensued after Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a summon to BRS MLC K.Kavitha in Delhi Liquor Scam, the daughter of Chief Minister K.Chandrashekher Rao today night left for New Delhi from Shamshabad International Airport.

The high political drama made the BRS camp unnerved as the leaders and rank and file are extensively arguing the fate of the leader who left for New Delhi after receiving the summon from the ED.

Though the ED summoned Kavitha on February 9 for questioning, the BRS MLC wrote a letter to the authorities saying that she would be available only on February 15. This has led to an unrest in the BRS camp where the leaders and cadre were found discussing whether or not the ED will consider Kavita’s request?

Though no clarity was yet come from the ED side over the date of questioning, a debate has storm the social media over the fate of the leader who was left for Delhi on Wednesday to attend a hunger strike scheduled to be held on March 10, demanding Women’s Reservation Bill at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

While reacting over the summoned issued by the ED in Delhi Liquor Scam, Kavitha took to twitter handle and wrote “Ahead of our Mach 10 dharna along with the opposition parties and women organisations demanding the Women’s Reservation Bill at Jantar Mantar, I have been summoned by the ED on March 9, (Sic).”

Before leaving for Delhi, it is said that Kavitha went to Pragati Bhavan where she discussed the issue with her father K.Chandrashekher Rao. Both the father and the daughter discussed the issue along with legal  options for about 15 minutes. Later, Kavitha pick-up a decision and came out of the Pragati Bhavan.

It is learnt that the KCR asked Kavitha to move on with the planned program scheduled to be held in Delhi on February 10. CM asked his daughter not to worry and fight the BJP’s political gimmicks legally. The party will stand by her. It is said that some senior BRS leaders were found accompanied with Kavitha while she was boarding for New Delhi.
