Coming in as a relieving development for his fans, Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B has been tested negative for covid-19 now.
After a 23-day stay at the Nanavati hospital, actor Amitabh Bachchan got discharged and allowed to go home. He was admitted on June 11th after testing positive for the dreadful virus. The 77 year old actor had posted his health condition on Twitter following which, AbhishekBachchan too, had tweeted his positive test result as well.
Junior Bachchan updated his father’s condition on twitter on 2nd August, rejoicing on Senior Bachchan’s discharge permission. He thanked his fans for generously praying for his health and said that his father has been sent home to receive further rest. He tweeted, “my father, thankfully, has tested negative on his latest Covid-19 test and has been discharged from the hospital. He will now be at home and rest. Thank you all for all your prayers and wishes for him.”

However, AbhishekBachchan is still at the hospital getting treated for covid-19.
When they got admitted, the staff of Nanavati hospital had said that the father-son duo had mild symptoms only and were getting treated. Jalsa, the residence of the Bachchans was sealed, along with their other 3 bungalows. They were unsealed later on July 26th after a brief period. 30 of his staff members were also tested for the virus. Jaya Bachchan was tested negative for covid-19.
AishwaryaRaiBachchan and daughter AaradhyaBachchan had got discharged in July after an 11 day stay at the hospital. They were initially being given treatment at home due to their mild symptoms but were later shifted to the same hospital where her husband and father in law were admitted.
Amitabh Bachchan, in his days at the hospital, wrote a string of blogs and poems which he posted on his personal blog and twitter. Among his blogs, there were mentions of the medical staff at the hospital as well whom he praised for their care and utmost responsible work. He even wrote about mental health, amongst others. One of MrBachchan’s blog spoke about his the time when his granddaughter got discharged after testing negative and her desire to see him at home soon.
On 23rd July, he posted a story from TimesNow in which the news readers were announcing him to have tested negative for the virus. He rubbished the news, calling it “fake and an incorrigible lie”.

Other Bollywood celebs’ lives also got touched by the virus after their staff members were diagnosed with covid-19. Boney Kapoor, Sara Khan, Aamir Khan, Rekha and some others’ managing staff got infected with the virus. AnupamKher’s entire family was tested covid positive.
