Amaravati: The two members of the same family including a car driver was killed in a fatal accident which was occurred in the Srikakulam Dist of the Andhra Pradesh.
The couple was on the way to pay the last respect to their son in law who has died in a shipyard accident in Visakhapatnam yesterday.
The driver of the ill-fated car in which the couple and their other family members were going lost the balance and dashed against a lorry that was stationed at the submarine national highway in Kanchili of Srikakulam district. The accident was so severe that the three of them were died on spot.
According to the police Nagmani, 48, of Kharagpur of West Bengal along with her sons Rajasekhar, Ishwara Rao, two daughters in laws Pethili and Lavanya, 23, left for Visakhapatnam in a car to see their son-in-law P Bhaskar Rao, who died in a crane accident at the Hindustan Shipyard yesterday.
The lorry was stationed on the Srikakulam District National Highway when the car collided with it. It is learnt that speed was the reason for the accident. Nagmani, Lavanya and driver Routhudwaraka (23) died on the spot in this accident.
After knowing about the accident the passerby and locals rushed the injured persons to Sompeta Government Hospital. Rajasekhar, Pethili was minor injured however Ishwara Rao’s condition was critical. They were shifted to Srikakulam Rims after receiving first aid at Sompeta Hospital. After receiving the information, Kasibugga DSP Shivarami Reddy, Sompet CI Satish and SI Durga prasad reached the spot.
The police have examined the spot and with the help of the crane, the car was shifted to another place to clear the traffic on the route. The police have started an investigation after registering the Case and shifted the bodies to autopsy.
