Andhra Pradesh objects to Telangana’s indent

Hyderabad: The neighboring Andhra Pradesh state raised objections to the indent raised by the state to utilize the water that was not used last year.

The AP government said that the request of its counterpart Telangana to was not tenable as the financial year 2019-20 was ended with May 31. It said that it was not proper for Telangana state to was not proper.

The ENC of Andhra Pradesh Narayana Reddy wrote a letter to KRMB member secretary  Harikesh  Meena. Making it clear that they don’t have any objection to the request of the Telangana government to seek 36.10 tmc of water, he said that the water availed by the Telangana should be counted for the year 2020-21. Meanwhile, the AP government urged the Krishna board to stop the release of the water to Nagarjuna Sagar to Srisailam left powerhouse.
