Andhra Pradesh ryots agitation continued on the 235th day

Amravati: The protest of the ryots of the Amaravati of Andhra Pradesh has continued on the 235th day also. Opposing the three capitals of the State the numerous farmers including a large number of women also participated in the relay hunger strike and raised the slogans.

Demanding to continue the Amaravathi as an administrative capital the peasants called upon to the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led state government that there is no need for three capital of the state.

Talking to the media the agitated women asserted that the government has not serious on the issue, 29 thousand farmers of the Amravathi have sacrificed their 33 thousand acres of the land for the new capital of the State, they approached to the supreme court as well.

Expressing their displeasure on the state government they alleged that the state and Union govt have Nexus on this issue. The state govt has no right to speak on the several power projects and infrastructure of the Amaravathi. They claimed that the govt has a lack of reliability and Honesty. The union govt has the responsibility to look over the issue of the New capital of the state during the bifurcation of United Andhra Pradesh however it has deceived the farmers. They demanded to reverse the decision of three capitals in their favor.

Targetting the State BJP Unit the agitators asked them to clear their stand of this issue. They pointed out that on one hand the state party leader GVL Narsimha Rao talks one thing and on another hand, Som veer Raju talks another thing, the saffron party has a lack of confidence in the State. They claimed that the BJP had supported the bifurcation of United Andhra Pradesh however at the same time the Modi led Union Government has back to construct the new capital of the State by the state government. The farmers claimed that they have handed over lakhs of acres of the fertile land to the Chandrababu Naidu led government however the incumbent govt wanted to shift the capital.
