AP Police Seva Application Launched by Jagan That Offers 87 Services

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday launched AP Police Seva App, a mobile phone application offering 87 kinds of citizen services.

While launching the application, Reddy stated: With AP Police Seva App, we brought all the police services under one platform.

Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita said the application will bring police benefits close to ordinary citizens.

As many as 87 police services will be directly available from the mobile phone, said Sucharita.

Almost 964 police headquarters in the southern state have been connected to this application, which will offer all the services accessible in a police headquarters.

It provides services under the six divisions of enforcement, law and order, road safety, road safety, public outreach and public information.


With this application, individuals in Andhra Pradesh need not to visit a police headquarters to register a complaint or find out about the status of their plaint, which should now be possible from the comfort of their mobile phone.

Still, a plaintiff would need to visit a police headquarters when police decide to file an FIR which should be signed by the complainant.

A portion of the 87 services accessible on the new application includes updates on investigation, information of arrest, road safety, FIR, license, permissions, passport confirmation, recoveries and others.

Services accessible under the road safety division of the application are data about street crimes, FIR Updates, harassments, theft, recoveries, missing cases, unidentified corpses and information on vehicles.

Utilizing the application, an individual can also file a complaint via Facebook and Twitter.

The application will furthermore help individuals know about the genuineness of viral video recordings and forward content. During crises, individuals can likewise settle on direct video calls to the police control room.

As a part of public effort, the application will offer services on online safety, women’s protection, fact check, community policing and others.

People can avail home surveillance and e-challan under enforcement services.

Siddharth Kaushal, Prakasam district Superintendent of Police (SP) hailed the application launch as an overall advance towards the modernization of police department, making it more friendly to people.

It will improve the accessibility of many police services. It will help women members of SC and ST (communities), inhabitants of remote areas and all disadvantaged persons in availing police services easily, Kaushal said to IANS.

 

As indicated by the SP, Andhra Pradesh Police Seva App is stacked with features which will make it simple for anybody to get a ton of data related with police, for example, contacts, location, case status, license, permits and others.

 

Police authorities from across the state joined the launch through video meeting, while some interacted with Reddy.
