Apple on Monday announced that it will take its privacy policy to a new level. They launched the App Tracking Transparency feature which will automatically hide the user IP addresses by default in the Safari browser.

Apple To Give Users More Control Over Their Data

As per the latest reports, Apple said that it will give its users more control over their data. This would include sharing the data with the applications they install on their Apple devices.

Apple also said that they will stop third parties from snooping on the Mail user’s vial tracking pixels. With this, the mail will also be able to hide the user’s IP addresses by default like Safari. It will further launch an App Privacy Report which will be available in the settings options.

The app will provide an overview of the privacy-related issues that the apps installed may have. It would include things like how often the apps use the user’s contacts, microphone, location, or any other data and identifiers.

Apple rolled out the App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14.5 as part of a broader privacy push. It’s a relatively simple change that requires all apps to obtain permission before they track users across other apps and websites.
