As in race for TPCC president’s post Anjan Kumar resigns from his Hyderabad party Chief’s post

Hyderabad: The competition for the top post of the Congress party in the state-TPCC President’s post- is increasing with each passing day. In a fresh development, the former MP of the party from Secunderabad and Hyderabad district unit president of the party M. Anjan Kumar Yadav today resigned from his post.

He said that he was quitting from the party’s post as he was in the race for the TPCC president’s post. He made it clear that he was also eligible for the post as he had worked as the MP of the party twice. Commenting on the occasion, he said that the party had lost in the recent GHMC elections and added that he was not responsible for the defeat of the party. He made it clear that he was only the president of the Hyderabad unit of the party and not the GHMC. Yadav claimed that he had no role in the allocation of the party tickets to the GHMC contesting candidates.

He said that the party leaders like VH had allocated tickets to the party candidates in the Amberpet Assembly constituency and former MLA Vishnuvardhan Reddy had allotted tickets in his Jubilee Hills constituency. He made it clear that he would remain in the Congress party till his last breath and added that he would never join the rival BJP.

On the other hand, the party’s AICC in-charge and MP Manickam Tagore is camping in the city to select the next PCC president. He has already held a meeting with the party leaders and would meet the core committee members of the party on Friday.
