In response to BJP State president Bandi Sanjay’s attempts to take credit for the ‘Nethanna ku Bima’ scheme’s implementation in the State, Textiles Minister KT Rama Rao ridiculed him.
His challenge was for Sanjay to explain what either the BJP government at the Centre or him as an MP of Karimnagar had done to help weavers in the last eight years.
A response to the State government’s decision to implement Nethanna Ku Bima, which provides Rs 5 lakhs of insurance coverage to weavers in the state. In spite of announcing the scheme earlier, Sanjay mocked the State government for not implementing it. Announcing the scheme was credited to him as he catalyzed the announcement by ‘nudging’ the State government, and he demanded to know who would compensate the kin of weavers who suffered due to delays in implementation.
He responded sharply by ridiculing the remarks, stating that it was absurd that an MP (Sanjay) could not even get a Mega Power Loom cluster sanctioned for his own Parliamentary constituency. Why don’t you tell us what the NPA government did for weavers in Telangana during the last eight years? Or you as an MP in Karimnagar?” he challenged.
A few days ago Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s threatened an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, and the leaders of the BJP, and TRS are engaged in a fresh battle of words.
A reaction to Sanjay’s statement was posted on Twitter on Friday, July 22 by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president KT Rama Rao.
Sarcastically, KTR thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for appointing Bandi Sanjay Kumar to lead the ED. “Now we realize the double engine that runs this country is actually Modi & ED,” wrote the TRS leader.
