TN BJP Unit Focuses On Centre’s Benefit 

The Madurai unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has engaged the Tamil Nadu government through the district collector to show pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at all the government workplaces.

The BJP administration likewise needs Modi’s photos to be shown close by the Chief Minister in the flags portraying the focal plans.

P. Saravanan, the Madurai area President of the BJP and a previous MLA, let the media know that the party was not interesting to the DMK, however to the Tamil Nadu government.

TN BJP Held Bullock Cart Protest

This comes after, the Tamil Nadu BJP Unit staged a bullock cart protest against the government over hike in fuel prices. The state government refused to reduce its value added tax (vat) from the fuel prices.

The protest was reportedly based on the former Prime Minister and BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s expertise in riding bullock carts. Back in 1973, Vajpayee rode a bullock cart to the parliament as a protest after the fuel price was risen by 7 paisee. Since then, the same tactic has been used by many other parties.
