BRS creates buzz in Andhra Pradesh this Sankranti festival

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has created a buzz in Andhra Pradesh this Sankranti festival, with colourful and massive banners and hoardings appearing in many areas across the state.

Many hoardings and banners wishing Sankranti have been placed along major thoroughfares, national highways, and key junctions in East and West Godavari, Srikakulam, Krishna, and Guntur districts by BRS party leaders and workers. Hoardings have been erected in Yanam, Kothapeta, Kadiyam, Mummidivaram, Kakinada, Mukkumala, and other locations.

With the establishment of the BRS Andhra Pradesh unit and the appointment of former IAS officer Thota Chandrashekhar as the State unit chief by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, curious discussions took place among youth, elders, and all sections of the society.

The BRS meeting, which will be held in Khammam on January 18 and will include several national leaders, was also a hot topic.

People who visited their native places from Hyderabad discussed the BRS’s foray into national politics as well as the current political situation and invited their feedback. Several videos of such discussions have been shared on various social media platforms.

According to sources, the meeting on January 18 will mark a significant change in the national political equations, creating a platform for the unification of four major parties – BRS, the Left parties, AAP, and the Samajwadi Party. Chief Ministers K Chandrashekhar Rao, Pinarayi Vijayan, Arvind Kejriwal, and Bhagwant Singh Mann are expected to attend, as are Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, CPI general secretary D Raja, and other national leaders.

On January 17, Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Akhilesh Yadav, and other national leaders are scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad. They will visit the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri before travelling to Khammam for the meeting on January 18. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI General Secretary D Raja, and some prominent leaders representing national farmers unions will arrive at the venue.
