BRS public meeting: Kejriwal, Mann, Vijayan, Akhilesh receive warm welcome from BRS leaders

Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Singh Mann and Pinarayi Vijayan, along with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and others, received a warm welcome from BRS leaders including Ministers, upon their arrival on Tuesday at Shamshabad airport here.

They are all scheduled to attend the BRS public meeting in Khammam on Wednesday.

Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann arrived in Hyderabad on a special flight from Delhi on Tuesday evening. Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali met them at the airport.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who arrived in the city on another flight, was greeted by Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav arrived in Hyderabad late Tuesday night and was greeted by Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav.

On Wednesday morning, all three Chief Ministers, CPI general secretary D Raja, and others will meet with BRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan before departing for Khammam via Yadadri.

Khammam turns pink

The city glowed pink in preparation for CM KCR’s visit and the public meeting on Wednesday.

Welcome arches, buntings, cutouts, and flexi banners of Chandrashekhar Rao, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, BRS leaders and ministers have been placed throughout the city and the main roads leading to Khammam.

Health Minister T Harish Rao, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, and MP Nama Nageshwar Rao inspected the public meeting venue at V Venkatayapalem on the outskirts of Khammam.

The ministers briefed 1000 BRS volunteers and team leaders on how to guide VIPs and guests to their designated galleries, as well as provide drinking water and snacks. They were instructed to work with the police to ensure the meeting’s success.

Harish Rao stated that the Chief Ministers of Kerala, Punjab, and Delhi, as well as other national leaders, would be felicitated with Narayanpet and Pochampally shawls and Karimnagar filigree mementos promoting Telangana culture. After the meeting was over, bursting of specially made crackers would take place.
