BRS to formally enter national politics with its public meeting at Khammam on Jan 18

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi will formally enter national politics on January 18 with a historic public meeting in Khammam. The party president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is also expected to speak to the nation about the party’s farmer-centric and development-centric agenda.

According to sources, the meeting will mark a significant change in the national political equations, creating a platform for the unification of four major parties – BRS, the Left parties, AAP, and the Samajwadi Party. Chief Ministers K Chandrashekhar Rao, Pinarayi Vijayan, Arvind Kejriwal, and Bhagwant Singh Mann are expected to attend, as are Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, CPI general secretary D Raja, and other national leaders.

On January 17, Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, Akhilesh Yadav, and other national leaders are scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad. They will visit the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri before travelling to Khammam for the meeting on January 18. On January 18, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI General Secretary D Raja, and some prominent leaders representing national farmers unions will arrive at the venue.

According to sources, two helicopters have been arranged to transport the national leaders to Khammam. They will take part in the opening of the Integrated District Collectorate Complex as well as the launch of the second phase of the Kanti Velugu scheme.

Meanwhile, the party leadership took a prestigious approach to organising the public meeting in Khammam. The arrangements are being overseen by Ministers T Harish Rao, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, and BRS Lok Sabha floor leader Nama Nageshwara Rao. Harish Rao has been meeting with the local cadre for the last few days to ensure that everything is in order, as leaders and people from neighbouring states are expected to attend the meeting in large numbers.

The party leaders have already decided on a 100-acre venue near the new Integrated District Collectorate Complex on the outskirts of Khammam. While the party leaders are making plans for the venue, police officials have set aside the necessary space for parking lots.

At least five lakh people are expected to attend the public meeting, for which the party leadership is making transportation arrangements. People from Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, in addition to the erstwhile Khammam district, are expected to attend the meeting.
