Case booked against Telugu newspaper editor

Hyderabad: The editor of Telugu vernacular daily has been charged by Jubilee Hills police for publishing fake news about the health conditions of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

The complaint of the case was registered by Mohad Illyas, resident of Rahmathnagar at Jubliee Hills police station.

Illyas in his complaint said that the newspaper has been publishing fake news reports about the health condition of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao which is resulting in tattle in State.

Based on the complaint given by Illyas Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against Venkateshwar Rao, editor of vernacular daily, under Section 505 of the IPC and Disaster Management Act.
