Celebrations galore- Guests spotted at Varun Dhawan’s wedding today

There are just a few hours left for the Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan to lose his bachelor status as the preparations for his wedding with longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal have started.

The couple, who is going to get married today, welcomed a bunch of guests at their wedding venue- The Mansion House in Alibaugh- on Saturday.

The Dhawan’s and Dallas left for the venue yesterday afternoon while close friends and other family members arrived later in the day.

Clicked in attendance was Karan Johar, the director who gave Varun his big break with ‘Student of the year’ and another filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, who starred him in Badrinath ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania that fetched tons of stardom for the actor.

Also photographed at the venue in a complete fashionista avatar was ace designer Manish Malhotra. The designer and filmmaker Kunal Kohli shared glimpses of their outfits at the ceremonies at the Bollywood wedding on their Instagram profiles.

Manish Malhotra posted a picture of himself wearing a chic navy blue kurta with a matching blazer, white pants, and signature shoes on his account. His caption read, “Keeping the look simple and classic. #day #indianwear #love.”

The actor had loads of fun during his pre-wedding celebrations too, evident from the pictures posted by several fan pages on the social media platform. His brother, filmmaker Rohit Dhawan can also be seen in the picture all smiles on his younger brother’s wedding with some other guests.

Reports said that the wedding was long due since the pandemic took over the normal lives of everyone across the globe and the couple is now ready to take the vows on January 24th.

Invitation cards from Dhawan’s were sent out, requesting the selected group of invitees to keep the days from January 22nd-25th free for the big Bollywood wedding that is going to be solemnized in a Punjabi style.

Around 40-50 guests will be attending the wedding in Alibaug. One of the invitees who received an e-invitation for Varun’s special day had said, “I just received an e-invite and I am happy that finally, it’s happening.” According to Pinkvilla, Mehendi and sangeet events will be followed by the wedding ceremony.

With all the precautionary measures for the dreaded virus, sources said the actor’s family had booked a resort for the event. “The Dhawans have blocked an entire resort facing the beach in Alibaug and are planning a grand yet simple and sober wedding. The wedding functions will extend for 3 days – January 22, 23, and 24, with the entire guest list of the family following the bio bubble protocol. They will all be staying together in the resort and the guests’ list includes just immediate family members of the couple along with some close friends and colleagues,” Bollywood Hungama quoted a guest as saying.

Contrary to rumors, Varun Dhawan and fiancé Natasha Dalal are childhood sweethearts and first met while they were in their 6th grade. Reports state that they would have tied the knot in 2020 itself if the covid-19 pandemic hadn’t shattered the plans.

When questioned on the coffee couch of Karan Johar on his popular chat show, Koffee with Karan, regarding his girlfriend, the 33-year-old actor said, “I am dating her and we are a couple…I plan to marry her.”

Bride Natasha Dalal is a designer by profession and is a familiar face at the Dhawan household. She is seen arm-in-arm with the actor at nearly every occasion and party.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan’s last movie was Coolie No.1, starring Sara Ali Khan opposite him, directed by his father David Dhawan. He will be featured alongside Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Kiara Advani in his next film, Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

The actor recently recovered from covid-19 and had informed his fans about his health condition on social media
