Center extends lockdown till May 31

Hyderabad: The Union Government today extended the ongoing Nationwide lockdown till May 31 of this month. The fourth round of the lockdown would be in force from May 18 to May 31.

In an order, member secretary of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that the lockdown had been extended by exercising conferred on the Authority under section 6 (2) (I) of the Disaster Management Act,2005. He said that the authority had also directed NEC to issue modifications in the guidelines as necessary, keeping in view of the to open up economic activities while containing the spread of COVID 19.  The secretary said that the lockdown measures were in force from March 25 in the country.
