Centre held Bathukamma celebrations in Delhi due to KCR: Kavitha

TRS MLC K Kavitha has welcomed the Bharatiya Janata Party at the center for the celebration of the Bathukamma festival in New Delhi, saying that all credit will go to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who has renewed the culture of Telangana and festivals to their former glory.

On Tuesday evening, the Bathukamma celebrations were held at Telangana Bhavan. Kavitha attended the celebrations alongside Minister Satyavathi Rathod, MLA Padma Devender Reddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi, Corporators, and a large number of women who were a part of the celebrations.

MLC Kavitha said on the occasion that while TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao was planning to enter national politics, BJP leaders awoke from their slumber and hurriedly organized the Bathukamma celebrations at India Gate in New Delhi.

“Anyway, the BJP leaders have recognized the importance of Telangana culture and its festivals after the formation of Telangana State seven years ago. All credits go to KCR. Because of the TRS, the BJP leaders are celebrating the Bathukamma festival,” she said.

She said that because of CM K Chandrashekhar Rao’s entry into national politics, more and more political parties are getting to know about Telangana’s culture and practices.

Things will shape up and change for the better as the Telangana Chief Minister enters the national arena, where he will almost certainly play a key role in shaping the political course of the country, Kavitha added.

The former Lok Sabha member of Telangana also questioned why Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is honored in Gujarat with the Statue of Unity while the NDA government refers to “National Integration Day” in Telangana as “Hyderabad Liberation Day.” She urged BJP state leaders to express gratitude to the Chief Minister for upholding and celebrating the spirit of the Telangana region.
