CM for Rs 500 cr for integrated markets, Harish, Talasani start Mobile fish outlets

Finance Minister T Harish Rao today stated that Telangana State has become a state to export fish products instead of importing them. Along with Animal Husbandry and Fisheries minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Harish Rao inaugurated 117 Mobile Fish Outlet vehicles for GHMC and 29 districts in the state here at a program at HMDA Grounds. We will increase this number in the future based on their response and requirements, he said.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao appreciated Srinivas Yadav for his idea to sell fish products through mobile vans in all districts and in the GHMC area. This will prove handy for the people in the twin cities to get the fish at any place now he hoped.

The Chief Minister has planned for starting integrated markets in the state by spending Rs 500 cr he said. This will boost the local vegetable and mutton and fish markets in a big way, Harish Rao said.

The State is now known for the blue revolution as the fishermen community no longer face financial problems. The state government under chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been supportive through a fish scheme to help the fishermen to gain.

Harish said that the chief minister is kind enough to give Rs 6 lakh exgratia to the kin of the deceased fisherman. Only Telangana state is giving such financial assistance to people of fishermen community, he claimed.

The policy has offered all facilities like fishing, marketing and to get better prices at their villages and towns now. This is a big change as the fish business is not confined just to the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh he said.

Since the state government has started the fish scheme the lives of the fishermen community have changed and they are getting better benefits, he stated.
