CM K Chandrasekhar Rao holds cabinet meeting

Hyderabad: CM K Chandrasekhar Rao today chaired the crucial Cabinet Meeting with his ministers.  The meeting of the cabinet was held at PragathiBhavan at 5 pm and KCR has briefed them on amendments need for GHMC Act,  revenue act amendments among others. He asked to purchase farm produce in all districts through 5690 centers and offer MSP.

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has in the cabinet is understood to have given nod for removing the clause that denies a chance to local leaders with more than children to contest the polls. The meeting gets important as the high court favored some amendments to existing laws.

Besides that, the chief minister has asked the ministers to make efforts for publicity on welfare programs. The Cabinet discussed the Bills to be introduced in the Legislature some of which need some amendments.

The cabinet has taken some key decisions and adopt policies, besides allocating funds amid the Corona pandemic according to reports. The Cabinet discussed the Regulatory Farming Policy to be implemented during the summer season and the purchase of Paddy and others.

The cabinet also focused on Assembly sessions for two days. The State government has decided to hold two days of sessions of the Assembly and council on October 13 and 14.

A release said that Legislative Assembly Session on Oct 13, Legislative Council session on October 14. The Legislative Assembly Session will begin at 11.30 am and the Council at 11 am. The Bills introduced in the Legislative Assembly on Oct 13 will be placed before the Legislative Council on October 14.

The key bills to be passed by making some amendments to GHMC Act and some other acts, as per high court directives, sources said.
