CM KCR leads mass recitation of national anthem at Abids GPO circle

During the Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu program on Tuesday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao participated and led the mass recitation of the national anthem at Abids GPO circle.

A mass recitation of the National Anthem throughout the State was organized as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Indian Independence.

As a result, a large number of people participated in the program at Abids. Immediately after the siren sounded at 11.30 am, the Chief Minister along with a few other Ministers and Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu Committee Chairman K Keshava Rao sang the national anthem.

In a similar fashion, people recited the national anthem at all major junctions.

During the recital of the national anthem, every office, educational institution, public and private establishment, shopping mall, cinema theatre, and even the traffic was halted.

The State Government is organizing the Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsavalu in a grand manner, Keshava Rao said.

In addition to Kavi sammelans and folk artist performances, Mushairas will be held at Ravindra Bharati and other places on Wednesday, and there will be blood donation camps across the State with a minimum of 75 donors, he said.

Besides these programs, there will also be rangoli competitions, freedom sports and games competitions, and fruits and sweets distribution. LB Stadium in the city will host a grand event on Monday to conclude Vajrotsavalu.

On Monday, government departments, academic institutions, voluntary organizations, and families celebrated the 75th anniversary of India’s independence by hoisting the tricolor, organizing sporting events, holding parades, blood donation camps, felicitation programs, and remembering the history of the Indian freedom struggle.

South Central Railway commemorated Independence Day, which also led to the end of the zone’s ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager (In-Charge), SCR, unfurled the national flag and earned the guard-of-honor at the Railway Sport Complex Ground in Secunderabad.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) celebrated Independence Day at Hyderabad Bus Bhavan, with Chairman and MLA Bajireddy Goverdhan and VC and MD V C Sajjannar hoisting the tricolor.
