Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today directed that the contractors failing to complete Devadula works of irrigation system will face action.
He called a high-level meeting and rapped the contractors and the officials for failing to complete Devadula project works. Dayakar instructed the officials to blacklist the contractors for not sticking to the agreed policy. It is time to complete the project with high priority he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for speedy completion of the irrigation systems, he said.
The minister expressed displeasure that land acquisition, project works, and rural facilities are not being done as planned. Dayakar Rao asked the officials to coordinate for land acquisition, implement the plan for the project the government offers adequate funds for the execution of the same, he said. Laying of roads, drainage, power and water supply, dumping yards, Vaikuntha dhamams, are to be completed he said.
The minister said that palle Pragati and Pattana Pragati programs gave a facelift to villages and towns. The same and need-based works ha e to be completed in villages in rural Warangal district he added.
