Congress will give a fitting reply in polls: Komati

Nalgonda: Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has stated that Rs.2000 crore will be burdened on the people of the state due to early elections in the state. He said that the Congress party will teach a fitting lesson to the arrogant decision of care taker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the coming elections. He exuded confidence that the Congress party will win 100 seats easily.

After launching his election campaign here, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy found fault with KCR for stating the reason for early elections that there was political uncertainty in the state and Congress leaders were obstructing the development by filing cases. “KCR is also said that he dissolved the Assembly to see that the development will not be stalled in the state. No mad man will speak like that manner”, Komatireddy slammed.

The expenditure for early elections for Assembly was Rs. 2000crore and Parliament elections would come in April and the government has to spent Rs.2000 crore once again burdening the people, he pointed out. He said that, in general, the central election commission would bare half of the election expenditure and the state government has to bare the remaining amount. He said that total election expenditure would fall on the people of the state if state goes for early elections. “The Congress party will not be afraid of early elections. We thought that people have to bare KCR for nine more months. Only KCR family was celebrating Dasara festival happily for the last four years in the state. But this time, people would celebrate Dasara festival happily”, Komatireddy said.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s brother and Congress MLC Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy thrown a challenge at TRS party saying that he was ready to take ‘political sanyas’ in case TRS party wins a single seat in old Nalgonda district. Speaking on the occasion, Ragagopal Reddy made it clear that he will contest Assembly elections from Munugodu this time. (NSS)
