Congress will win in Dubbaka says Gudur

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy on Wednesday said that Congress would win the by-election in Dubbaka Assembly Constituency with the support of the voters.

In a statement, Gudur said that voters of Dubbaka are ready to teach a lesson to the ruling Telangana RashtraSamithi in the by poll by defeating its candidate. He made it clear that voters of the constituency would vote in favor of Congress candidate Cheruku Srinivas Reddy.

He said that though the TRS and BJP, which are considered to be two faces of the same coin, are enacting dramas, the Congress candidate Cheruku Srinivas Reddy would win the election. He said that though the BJP and TRS are trying to show the people that they are competing with each other, in fact they have been helping each other.

He said that resentment among the people against the TRS government and the development being done by former MLA CherukuMuthyam Reddy in the constituency would ensure hands down victory to Congress.

Reddy said that people have been defeating the ruling party since the election to Graduate Constituency by causing the win of Congress candidate T Jeevan Reddy in 2019. They would continue this practice in the Dubbaka by-election also.

He said that Congress would win the by-election under the leadership of Telangana Congress inchargeManickam Tagore and TPCC president  Uttam Kumar Reddy.

The TPCC Treasurer said that former minister CherukuMuthyam Reddy has developed Dubbaka Assembly Constituency by providing building to the schools, -self-help groups, ensuring laying of roads in the rural areas and others.

He made it clear that the people are vexed with the misrule of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao. He said that people were angry for the failure of the government in providing relief to them during the Covid-19 period. He said the government miserably failed in providing support to the people to face the unprecedented crisis.

He criticized that the ruling party has neglected the interests of the people and it did not take any steps to stop implementation of the new farm acts being enacted by the Centre. The government agreed to purchase the maize only after the Congress has brought pressure.  (NSS)
