Corona impact on Hyd street food vendors

Hyderabad: Empty chairs, sitting plastic tables are waiting for the customers which were once full in the pre lockdown period however the situation has changed.

On the contrary, the owners are sitting idle and passing their time without any much activity. This is the new condition that is facing by the street vendors as the Corona effects on their routine business. The Corona fear is chasing nowadays everywhere that forced several people to confine in their homes, however, the people who are roaming in the markets are avoiding the roadside eateries.

Dosa, Idli, Wada, Daal Chawal, Boti, Anda Boti, Meals, Chicken Rice, Chicken Curry, Boti Rice, Boti Curry, All veg Curries, Noodles, and other junk food vendors are facing financial constraints, thanks to the COVID 19 state of affairs.

One of such vendor says “ Corona affect our business so much as the people are frightened to buy anything and they are afraid that they can also be contracted with the Corona if they visit the roadside eateries. The business is dull compare to the pre lockdown situation. That’s the reason we are facing the in numerous problems from the last four months.”

Another vendor tells “ I have never faced this type of situation ever before, earlier every time my roadside shop fills with the customers but now I am waiting for them. Besides state Capital Hyderabad the corona cases are increasing drastically day by day in the other parts of the Telangana also. I have no choice”.

The citizens are panic in this situation and prefer only homemade food. The children who are fanatic of junk food are also worried about the situation.

“We don’t know when the pandemic ends and the normal situation will be restored. It seems that we are in a cumbersome situation.” adds customers.

 The corona has changed many business methods also.
