CPI decries fuel charges hike

Hyderabad: CPI today decried the steep increase of diesel prices which is around Rs. 75 in many cities of India. CPI National General Secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy today said that the increase of cooking gas to almost Rs. 500 a cylinder to domestic use and Rs. 800 to non-subsidy consumers. These price increases are a big burden on the people. The union government should reduce its taxes by Rs. 10 per litre petrol and diesel, so that the prices will come down. The prices of oil are artificially increased with abnormal taxes by NDA government which are nowhere in the world. This shows insensitivity of government towards Aam Aadmi. GDP growth rate is not having any relief to the people with high prices and rupee fall in International market he said. (NSS)
