Crime Rate Low in Telangana as Compared to Other States’: Home Minister

Hyderabad: Home Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Wednesday announced that Telangana has a lower crime rate than other states of the country.

Tending to the Police Flag Day march at LB Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad, he commended the Telangana police for its accomplishment in crime control.

He said it was a result of the police’s attempts that there were no communal episodes in Hyderabad since the formation of Telangana State. He noticed all celebrations are being celebrated peacefully in the city.

Home Minister stated the police were according to high priority to the wellbeing and security of the women.

A month-long campaign CybHer was led to shield women and youngsters from cybercrimes.

Chief General of Police M Mahender Reddy said the crime percentage has dropped in the state. He guaranteed that Telangana police has extraordinary recognition in the nation.

The police took extraordinary measures to check the cyber wrongdoings which grew after COVID-19 pandemic broke out.

The police chief said the police force delivered praiseworthy services during the catastrophes like COVID-19 and weighty downpours and furthermore won applause from the public for this.

Since police alone can’t keep up law and order, the office is actualizing friendly policing by including the public, he said.
