Actress Dia Mirza married Vaibhav Rekhi today in an intimate affair attended by close family and friends in Mumbai. The couple solemnized their wedding on Monday evening after which they posed happily for the paparazzi that was awaiting their appearance. Dia Mirza also distributed sweets to the media amidst the photo session.
The actress looked every bit of a traditional bride in her red silk saree that she matched with green jewelry- beautiful kundan neckpiece a similar maang tika- and a bun with bunches of jasmine flowers. Her husband looked ravishing in a white self-striped kurta that he wore with a blazer and golden turban.
The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony and a registrar too was spotted at the venue.

Her wedding came as a surprise to everyone as the actress kept her relationship with Vaibhav under the folds, away from the public eye. He never made any appearance on her social media platforms too, despite Dia Mirza remaining active on Instagram where she preaches the importance of preserving nature and working to recede the climate change.
Reports had stated earlier that Dia Mirza and Vaibhav are set to get married on February 15th.
The actress had a bridal shower, more like a pre-wedding celebration, on Saturday evening and the pictures had filled the internet. On her mehendi day, Dia Mirza posted the first update of her wedding by sharing the picture of her hand donned with bridal henna design.

On her bridal-shower, she wore a knee-length white lacey dress with a ‘Bride To Be’ sash, ‘Bride’ tiara and a white veil. The event was hosted by the actress’s friends who posted photographs of the same on their social media accounts.
One such post was from actress Freishia Bomanbehram who posted picture of a cheerful Dia Mirza with the caption, “Here comes the ravishing bride”. The Instagram story was later shared by Dia Mirza on her own account. Stylist and costume designer Theia Tekchandaney also became a part of the celebrations and wished Dia Mirza through a picture from the party.
The groom too seemed to have attended the bridal shower as Pooja Dadlani, a celebrity manager posted the couple’s picture on Instagram where the actress was wearing the same dress. “Welcome to our crazy family, Dia Mirza”, she wrote while adding, “We all love you”.

Previously, Dia Mirza was married to Sahil Sangha, a film producer who has made movies like Bobby Jasoos and others. After staying together for 11 years, the couple part their ways mutually and stated on social media that they will continue to remain friends.
Vaibhav was married earlier to lifestyle and yoga tutor, Sunaina Rekhi. They also reportedly have a daughter together.
In the year 2000, Dia Mirza won the title of Miss Asia Pacific and has films like Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, Dus, Sanju and Thappad to her fame. She has also done a web series called ‘Kaafir’.
