Display panels to aware public about noise and air pollution in city

Hyderabad:  The Telangana State Pollution Control Board in correspondence with  Cyberabad traffic police had placed live carbon monoxide(co)-level and noise level display units in cyber town.

This is to make the public realize regarding noise pollution and air pollution in the city. Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) with  Cyberabad traffic police will place more display panels at various T-junctions (Traffic junctions) in the city. The plan is an initiative to the National Clean Program pull up by  TSPCB.

Prasar Dasari official of TSPCB said “ we are hoping this move will create awareness about the rising air pollution and noise pollution. Seeing these displays people will become inquisitive and will search on the internet about noise pollution, carbon monoxide pollution, and its tolerance level.

At the T-junction when the signal becomes red these panels convey general audio messages on the tolerable pollution levels and the panel also shows those messages in both Telugu and English.

TSPCB has plans to place these panels in each commissioner –— Hitec city, Nampally and ECIL crossroads.

DCP A.R. Srinivas said that “we will also start a campaign on how to save fuel, lane discipline, proper maintenance of a vehicle, maintaining the efficiency of the vehicle decreasing pollution in the city.
