Hyderabad : Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said they will take up distribution of Bathukamma saris among women in GHMC area from September 24. The officials have made all arrangement for the saris distribution in all locations, he said, adding that the women will pick the saris ahead of Dasara festival.
Srinivas said the government sanctioned 15.40 lakh saris to GHMC and distribute them till month- end. The program was being coordinated by the GHMC and Civil Supplies departments, he said, adding the State government started the prestigious Bathukamma saris to ensure that the womenfolk celebrate the floral festival in a grand manner.
