Egypt, Turkey Condemn Israeli Attacks On Worshiping Palestines at Al-Aqsa Mosque

In the latest update, Egypt has condemned the “renewed violations by Israeli extremists” against the al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem. The Foreign Ministry released a statement.

Egypt Sends Reminders To Israeli Police About The al-Aqsa Mosque Sanctity 

As per the statement released by Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, the country completely rejects the violations by the Israeli police at a place of worship. The statement said that al-Aqsa enjoys a great position amongst the Muslims around the world. Following this, the Israeli authorities are responsible for providing protection for the worshipers and maintaining security and stability.

In the statement, the ministry further demanded the Israeli authorities to refrain from taking any actions that could lead to escalation. At the same time, they also highlighted the need to revive the peace processes between Israel and Palestine which should be based on the related international resolutions that could work within the framework of a two-state solution.

Turkey Calls Out Israel’s Actions “Extremely Dangerous”

Following Egypt, Turkey has also condemned Israeli forces for violating the sanctity of Haram Al-Sharif. The Foreign Ministry released a written statement stating that they condemn the Israeli forces for “once again” allowing racist (Israeli) groups to raid the mosque and interrupting the Palestinian civlians with stun gredandes.

The statement further added that it was “extremely dangerous” for such a situation to continue to happen in the current environment when the attacks are still fresh.

Israeli Police Have Reportedly Arrested Five Palestinians 

This comes after the hundreds of Jews were visiting on Sunday the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem to mark the Jewish holy day of Tisha B’Av. Early in the morning, the Israeli police stormed the Mosque and clashed with the worshippers.

Following the attack, the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf said that five Palestinian have been arrested and several have been injured.
