Elaborate security plan drawn up for Telangana Secretariat

As Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao prepares to inaugurate the new secretariat complex on Sunday, the Telangana State Special Police are getting ready to ensure its security.

As part of its security measures, the Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar requested the Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) to deploy its personnel. The TSSP will train a few hundred men shortly in patrolling, access control, anti-sabotage checks, and frisking to take over the new task. Integrated Training Academy Moinabad has already provided basic training to some at the Intelligence Security Wing.

The Hyderabad police will deploy anti-sabotage teams, sniffer dogs, and women officers from the City Security Wing. Every shift will be guarded by around 100 people in the six-story building.

Security arrangements are being made for the inauguration of the new secretariat by senior police officials. In the new Secretariat building, an OCTOPUS Quick Response Team (QRT) will be stationed around the clock to foil terror attacks and sabotage attempts.

Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar and other senior officials will inspect the security arrangements at the new Secretariat complex before its inauguration. During construction, Telangana police’s Special Protection Force guarded the new Secretariat building.

A command and control center has been established at the security building in the secretariat complex, and 300 closed-circuit cameras have been installed in and around the building to provide round-the-clock monitoring. Armed guards will be stationed at sentry posts and building entry/exit points. Two fire trucks will be stationed in the new Secretariat building round the clock.
