Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s Personal Details Leaked; Reports

Facebook has come under another cyber attack revealing the details of 553 million Facebook users. Reports suggest that the data also includes Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s phone number.

As per the reports, details like Zuckerberg’s personal details, phone number and Facebook user ID were leaked.

Dave Walker, a security expert took to Twitter to reveal that Mark Zuckerberg respects his own privacy and uses another chat app not owned by Facebook itself. He further posted a screenshot and revealed that Zuckerberg uses Signal.

Recently, Signal became the fastest growing application in the world including India. The analytics came in regards to both the number of downloads and monthly active users.

The app received major boost after WhatsApp rolled out its controversial privacy policy that will come into effect by May 2021.

The privacy policy said that the users data would be shared with third party agencies. If the users do not agree with the policy, they would lose access to the app. However WhatsApp later clarified that the chats would remain encrypted and will not be shared.

Data 533 Million Facebook Users Leaked

Alon Gal, CTO of Security firm Hudson Rock said that the data of 533,000,000 Facebook were leaked. He warned that there are chances that some of the phone numbers of the users were leaked as well.

The data leak was later confirmed by Facebook itself. However, they also said that the data leaked is the old one that was reported in 2019. The issue was fixed in August 2019 itself.

Recently, Facebook CEO was summoned by Congress and accused of contributing in the Capitol Riots. But he dismissed the allegations and said that the only person responsible is the person making the comments that led to the riots.

In the past year, Facebook has removed huge amounts of posts regarding misinformation and fake news.
