Fans burst firecrackers inside theatre during Antim screening; Salman Khan requests against it

Actor Salman Khan posted an appeal on Instagram to his fans after a video showing people bursting fire crackers inside a theatre went viral on social media. The firecrackers were burst during the screening of Antim: The Final Truth, the actor’s latest movie that got a theatre release after a long halt at cinema screenings due to the pandemic.

However, the celebration was short lived as fans took the celebrations in a different direction and paid no heed to possible fire mishaps and evident pollution inside the closed space, which was filled with people.

The actor requested his fans to refrain from practising such acts and appealed to cinema hall owners to stop people from carrying such hazardous materials inside the theatre. His Saturday night post read, “Request all my fans not to take fire crackers inside the auditorium as it could prove to be a huge fire hazard thereby endangering your lives and also others. My request to theatre owners not to allow fire crackers to be taken inside the cinema and security should stop them from doing so at entry point. Enjoy the film by all means but please please avoid this. This is my request to all my fans… Thank you.” He also shared the video showing the firecrackers with cheery fans screaming in the background.

A similar incident took place where milk was mindlessly wasted as fans poured it all over the poster of Salman Khan’s movie. The actor shared the video on Instagram on Sunday and requested his fans to use the milk wisely by giving it to children who need it, instead of wasting it on paper.  “Kai logon ko paani naseeb nahiin hota aur aap aise doodh waste karr rahe ho. Agar aapko doodh dena hi hai toh my request to all my fans is ki aap gareeb bacchon ko pilayein jinhe doodh peene ko nahiin milta.” When roughly translated from Hindi, the post reads, “Many people do not even have access to water and you people are wasting milk like this. If you want to give milk to someone, then I request all my fans to provide milk to the needy and to those who do not have access to it.”

Antim is the second movie to be released in theatres following the lifting of pandemic curbs on cinema halls. Before this, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Sooryavanshi was screened that got a massive response from the audience, helping it climb on the 100-crore club movie revenue section. Salman Khan’s movie also stars his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma who plays the role of the antagonist in the film. Antim was released on November 26th, Friday.

Though the film opened big on the box office, it got mixed reviews from critics like many other movies of Salman Khan as movie critics said the entry and fight scenes of the actor are in line with the choices of his fans who are used to seeing and enjoying similar content in his movies.
