Fasten Jiaguda 2BHK Works, KTR Tells Officials

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today made a surprise visit to a double bedroom housing site at Jiaguda Municipal Colony on Sunday and instructed the officials concerned to complete the houses at the earliest.

The MAUD & IT Minister inspected the works of the housing facility for the poor and the project will accommodate 840 families and related works are nearing completion. The minister, who laid foundation stone in July last year, briefly discussed with the officials on the project model, quality of works and modern facilities. He also asked the officials to complete the project at the earliest and make arrangements for accommodating the beneficiaries.

The project coming up in 8.17 acres in the area cost the government Rs 71.40 crore and each house spreads in 560 sft costing around Rs 8.50 lakh. The State government took initiative to provide the housing facility to some 1.25 lakh poor in the city and one lakh housing units in districts. As part of the housing scheme for the poor at Jiaguda site will get permanent housing facility soon. The GHMC built 12 blocks and has been making arrangements for providing the beneficiaries with two bedroom modern housing facility free of cost.
