Fever Survey from Friday, Give Medical Kits : Harish Rao

Telangana Health and Finance Minister, T Harish Rao today stated that a door-to-door fever survey will be conducted in the state from Friday to check virus spread.

A video conference was held today by Harish Rao with Panchayat Raj Minister, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar, District Collectors, and other senior health officials. The minister instructed them to conduct the survey for fever and symptoms among the people. Later the Health Minister informed media persons that the district collectors, health officials should ensure fever surveys are done in all districts and give medical kits to people with some symptoms. On finding the symptoms of Coronavirus or omicron variant the health staff will distribute medical kits to them. The Minister informed that on using the medicines given by the health staff at homes the people with symptoms can recover in five days. It is simple to use the medicines through home isolation and the people should take care of the symptoms, the minister said.

The minister instructed the state health staff to coordinate with the district staff and ensure the delivery of medical kits after a fever survey is conducted. The situation is under control through the cases of Corona are on a rise, he said. Harish Rao instructed the health staff to help the people visit the hospitals if they have serious symptoms. Give them with medicines kit to use the tablets for five days to overcome the problem, he said.

He said that two crores of testing kits and one crore of home isolation kits were kept ready for use. As per directions from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao we have prepared these kits being offered to the patients and used to treat them. On finding symptoms the people will get home isolation kits and medical kits as per requirements, he said. The state has transformed 27000 beds with oxygen facilities in the hospitals in the districts and Mandal level health units have ventilation services.

The Minister stated that the state has achieved 100 percent first dose of vaccination and put at 102 percent and the second dose fast reaching cent percent. Since the cases in the districts and other states are on a rise the people should wear masks, take vaccines without fail. Following corona protocols will help spread of virus and infections, the minister hoped.
