Hyderabad: In a joint operation today, the LB Nagar Special Operations Team, along with Meerpet police, nabbed five persons for procuring Ganja from Vizag and selling it in and around Hyderabad. They also seized four traveling bags, one gunny bag containing 41 packets and each packet containing 2 kg of Ganja worth Rs 30,000, seven Mobile phones and a Bajaj Pulsar at their instance.
The accused were identified as Phangitelli Teja, 28, of Donkaraya Village, Y-Ramavaram Mandal, East Godavari District, AP, Kamoji Kondal, 31, Barber of Badangpet, Meerpet N/o. HNo. 1-101, Bairapur village, Veldanda Mandal, Nagarkurnool District, Subedar Vinod Singh, 32, of Rahimpura, Upper Dhoolpet, Asif Nagar; Vandalam Nagarjuna, 21, of Vanajajula village, Lothugudda Junction Post, Chinthapally Mandal, Vishakapatnam, Chadala Chinnabbai alias Chinna, 22, of Vanajajula village, Chintapally Mandal, Visakhapatnam and Raju of Chitrakanta Town, Odisha State (absconding).
The arrests were made under the supervision of G. Sudheer Babu, IPS., Addl. Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda by J. Surender Reddy, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team, Rachakonda by T. Ravi Kumar, Inspector of Police, SOT, LB Nagar Zone, N. Yadaiah, Inspector of Police, Meerpet PS with the assistance of SI B. Sathyanarayana, and the Staff of SOT and Meerpet police. (NSS)
