Four Inter Failed Students Commit Suicide—Leave Families in Grief

Hyderabad: Four students committed suicide, at different places in the State on Thursday after the announcement of first and second-year intermediate results.  In the first case, 16-year-old Anarika hailing from Gandhi Nagar in Hyderabad committed suicide after she failed in more than one subject. Anarika, a student of Government Junior College failed in more than one subject including Telugu. Depressed over it, she ended her life when her parents were not at home.

In the second case, G Nagendar (17) hanged himself at his home under Kushaiguda police station limits after he failed in maths exam. He was a student of Narayana College, ECIL branch. In the third case, Vennela (18), hailing from Yedapalle in Nizamabad district  consumed rat  poison after failing in two subjects. She died on Friday morning while undergoing treatment.

In another incident, one student by name Lasya resorted to the extreme step by hanging  with her chunni in Royal Nest Apartment in Marredpally police station limits in Secunderabad, this morning  as she failed in Maths examination.  Lasya (18) was a second year Intermediate student from a private college.
