Kolkata: Four-person has been arrested on Saturday for an allegation of rape of a teenage girl in Kolkata’s new town area police said.
The police said that incident took place late night Friday when the teenage girl went to the new town ram mandir area with one of her friend. Four people in a group from the same locality block the girl and dragged her to the nearby shrubs. They also threatened her friend and forced him to escape. They took the girl to a playground and allegedly raped her.
When the girl started screaming seeing police patrolling Van, the officers came and caught one of the four attackers while the rest of them managed to escape.
The Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate officials catch the rest of the three and after the interrogation.

“There is no security for women in Bengal. The situation is getting worse every day. The CM must intervene in the matter,” Bharatiya Janata Party’s women’s arm (Mahila Morcha) president Agnimitra Paul said and she also demanded strong action against the accused.
