BRS working president KT Rama Rao has sharply criticized the Congress party for what he describes as double standards concerning the Adani Group. In a recent statement, Rama Rao highlighted the apparent contradiction between the Congress’s national and state-level actions regarding the controversial conglomerate.
The Congress high command has called for nationwide protests demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) investigation into the Hindenburg report, which alleges collusion between Adani and SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch. However, Rama Rao pointed out that while Congress leaders are protesting Adani’s practices, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is simultaneously facilitating investments from the Adani Group in Telangana.
“On one hand, the Delhi Congress accuses Adani companies of being Prime Minister Modi’s pocket companies. On the other hand, in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is welcoming the same Adani Group with open arms,” Rama Rao said. He sarcastically referenced the Congress’s contradictory stance with a phrase posted on social media: “Galli Mein Dosti, Dilli Mein Kusti, Yeh Hi Hain Congress. Can you please explain Rahul Gandhi Ji?”

Rama Rao mocked the Congress’s protests against Adani, calling them the “biggest joke of the year.” He accused Congress leaders of hypocrisy, stating that they invite Adani, sign agreements, and offer incentives while simultaneously protesting and accusing the company of fraud. He suggested that Congress’s actions reveal a split personality disorder or a delusional belief that they can mislead the public with their actions.
He further questioned the Congress party’s logic in providing financial incentives to Adani while publicly denouncing the company as fraudulent. Rama Rao’s comments underscore the growing political tension surrounding Adani’s operations and the Congress party’s handling of the issue.
This latest criticism from BRS adds to the ongoing debate and scrutiny over the Adani Group’s role in Indian politics and its relationship with various political entities.
