Hyderabad: State BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar today said that the GHMC results was a slap on the face of the ruling TRS party. He said that the TRS party should have some shame after witnessing the results Bandi expressed his happiness over the results and the dominance shown by the party. He also thanked the high court, which asked the state election commission to only count the ballot papers with the arrow marks. He said that he was thanking the high court by bowing his head for keeping the faith of the voters intact.
He alleged that the state government was not learning any lessons from the consecutive high court verdicts. He said that the high court verdict had prevented the conspiracies of the state government and SEC to make a dent in the democracy of the country. He termed the court verdict as the first moral victory of the BJP in the GHMC elections.
He said that the commissioner of the SEC should either tender his resignation or the state government should sack him. He warned that the people of the state would teach a befitting lesson to the state government. He said that the Chief Minister of the state KCR did not have any right to continue in his position after seeing the GHMC results. He asked the SEC, which declared results for every hour on the election day, as to why it did not declare the results of votes polled between 5 pm to 6 pm, which saw a jump of 12 to 18 percent votes. He urged the HC to inquire into the issue.
