Of the 41 projects taken up under Phase II of the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), 29 have been successfully completed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
A Road Over Bridge (RoB) is currently being constructed at Kaithalapur and is expected to be completed by June. According to the officials of the GHMC, 95 per cent of the new RoB has already been completed. It is located near the Borabanda MMTS station and is between Kaithalapur in Moosapet and Ayyappa Society.
Due to a large number of IT professionals commuting to the IT hub, traffic between the two areas increased. Upon completion, the RoB will provide direct access between Kukatpally and Hitec City.
10 out of 10 deck slabs are complete. Additionally, it will act as a parallel road to the road from Kukatpally to Hi-tech City, reducing traffic congestion at the JNTU junction, Malaysian Town Ship junction, Hi-tech city flyover, and Cyber Tower junction.
After the ROB is completed, traffic from Sanathnagar, Balanagar, and Secunderabad will be diverted at Moosapet (via Kaithalapur) and join the Madhapur Main Road.

This reduces travel by 3.5 km and reduces travel time by an hour for people in Sanathnagar, Balanagar, and Secunderabad. The RoB is being built at a cost of Rs 83.6 crore (GHMC’s share of Rs 40 crore, rail’s share of Rs 18.6 crore, and land acquisition’s share of Rs 25 crore).

GHMC pushing forward for completion of monsoon works
Monsoon works under the Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) are progressing quickly as part of a major effort to address the threat of flooding near the Bahadurpura nala towards Kishanbagh within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits. They are scheduled to be completed in June.
The GHMC started the SNDP works ahead of time to deal with the monsoon floods. Moazam Khan, MLA of Bahadurpura, and GHMC SNDP officials inspected the SNDP works in Bahadurpura. He spoke about the growth of nalas in the constituency.
