Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal corporation is launching 33 more Basti Dawakhanas for better quality treatments.
GHMC has set up 123 Basti Dawakhanas in the first phase, 44 Dawakhanas in the second phase, and more 33 are been set up by GHMC for the benefit of the people, especially for the low-income groups of Hyderabad.
GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar said, To provide basic medical treatment to people in local areas GHMC is providing buildings and other basic facilities to set up more Basti Dawakhanas in the city.
As per the order given by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the civic body along with Health and Family Welfare Department are providing medical facilities to poor and middle-class people in local areas.
As per the direction given by KT Rama Rao, the GHMC is making two Basti Dawakhanas in each division.
As of now, there are 123 Basti Dawakhanas giving free medical facilities to the citizens.
