A long due was subtly completed today when Supermodel Gigi Hadid and former One Direction member and singer Zayn Malik’s daughter’s name was disclosed.
The revelation was made through Gigi’s Instagram account where she made a small change in her bio that resulted in the massive disclosure.
The 25-year-old added “Khai’s mom” to her profile bio, the first time when either of the parents has let their child’s name get public.
Fans quickly figured out the possible meanings of the name as one said “Khai” is referred to as “Crowned” in Arabic. This may hold true as the couple has Muslim roots with Zayn being a British-Pakistani while Gigi’s father Mohammed Hadid is from Palestine.
The big news brought relish to the gazillion fans and followers they both have from across the world, who were eagerly waiting for any form of hint or drop of the baby’s name.
Khai was born in September last year and prior to her birth, the mother filled her Instagram profile with pictures of her pregnant belly. Post-delivery photographs of Gigi involved the supermodel embracing her newly found motherhood.
The couple posted many pictures showering cuddles and kisses to Khai on their social media platforms, although none included the baby’s face.
Tons of love was outpoured when Khai came into the world as fans were overjoyed. Now, after knowing her name, one of them wrote, “Khai Malik Hadid, you’re so lucky for the family you have, please take care of them, we love you we love you without meeting yet,” while another said, “Welcome to zquad, khai ! here you will always have your source of infinite love.”
However, some of the fans also discovered that the parents either kept dropping hints on the baby’s name or did so unknowingly after they realized that Zayn’s wrist bears a tattoo of “Khai” written in Arabic. Not just this, their car number also mentions the initials of their small family, “GZK”- Gigi, Zayn, Khai.
Moreover, a decoration piece of the Christmas celebrations from the Hadid-Malik household also bore the name “Khai”, if you look closely at the picture.
The new mother celebrated her boyfriend’s birthday this year with a warming post on Instagram as the two entered a different phase of life with their parenthood and angelic daughter.
In the never-seen-before picture, the couple is seen with an illustration of their baby. The caption read as, “Team No Sleep! Happiest birthday to our Zaddy baba. So special. Love you a long time, thank you for making me a mamma to the best girl ever. Wish you the best every single day.”
When she was born, Zayn and Gigi announced the same on their respective social media accounts with the former writing, “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together.”
